We have a vast array of disability equipment to make your stay as comfortable as possible including: Arjo Minstrel, Maxi Move hoists, Seahorse toilet, and shower chairs. Support rails are find into hygiene facilities and assorted seating including bean bags and squashy chairs, bedsides and stair gates are available on request. Most beds are low level to comply with best practice for people with epilepsy and all beds have pressure relief mattresses.

All our facilities and equipment have been selected following the recommendations
of a Chartered Occupational Therapist.
Ground Floor
Accommodation
The ground floor facilities are particularly suitable for groups with physical disabilities.
The ground floor is a self-contained unit with 18 beds across 9 twin rooms. Several rooms have wider doors for users of larger wheelchairs. Two rooms have electric beds with fully padded sides.
Rooms 1 and 2 form a secure suite ideal for the close supervision of children in need of constant care. For more detail, please click on our ground floor plan below:

As a charity we have been awarded bursaries, which are available in key areas such as Yorkshire. This could mean that funding is available to put towards your group's stay.
The Wingate Centre is completely flexible and will organise breaks to meet your needs. All stays and activities are subsidised per
day, per person and visits can
vary from one to seven nights.
