We are confident that you will have fun participating in our classes, making new friends and learning new skills, while working towards awards and badges, as well as participating in our in-house competitions.

Meet the Coaches
Ahmed is a
Level 2 & 3 qualified
gymnastics coach. His coaching
history includes coaching at Olympus Gymnastics Club for over 8 years, coaching at Markaz Shabab Altahadi Youth Centre for over 2 years and as a voluntary sports teacher at primary school level. Ahmed holds a bronze medal in the West Asian Championship 2006, competed in the Qatar World Championships in2013 and was ranked
33 in the world and held
a sliver medal at the Adults
British Championships
in 2018.
Nigel is a Senior Gymnastics
& Trampoline Coach. He has extensive experience having worked at The Wingate Centre for 25 years. Nigel is British Gymnastic trained and a qualified disability specialist.
Natalie is our Sports & Rec Manager and Welfare Officer for the club. She is Level 1 I.G.A W.A.G qualified and is Level 3 trained in Rebound Therapy
Chloe is Level 1 I.G.A W.A.G qualified and is Level 3 trained in Rebound Therapy
Wingate staff are all DBS checked and trained to the required level to lead our gymnasts clubs. As a charity we support young gymnasts through offering volunteering roles within our gymnasts clubs. All our volunteers who support our club coaches are Level 1 I.G.A qualified.
Charley is a level 2 qualified gymnastics coach and was a gymnast for seven years before starting a coaching career. She holds a 1st class BA (Hons) in Sport Development and has been coaching recreational gymnastics for the past five. With 18 years of dance experience across multiple styles, Charley is in the process of pursuing a qualification as a Secondary School
PE Teacher.
Gymnasts will work towards WGA (Wingate Gymnastics Awards) qualifications with inhouse and virtual competitions across the year to encourage that competitive spirit .
Classes
Classes run Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas break. Each class is one hour and coach led. There is a limit to class size. For more information please click below
